
Mrs. Leola Fulbright Hughes Edmonds, age 100 of Toccoa, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, at The Clary Center, surrounded by her family.
A daughter of the late William Lester Fulbright and Lula Jane Medlin Fulbright, she was born June 29, 1925, in Stephens County, Georgia, where she had lived most of her life. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was a member of Bethel Holiness Church and had taught Sunday School for 60 years. She was a homemaker and loved to sew, and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Wesley Hughes; her second husband, Dan Nelson Edmonds; and six sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Bobby Honea of Toccoa and Anita and Jacky Addison of Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Susan Hughes of Toccoa; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Doug Saylors and The Reverend Jeff Carter officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jacques DeLock, Dave Beebe, Tim Presley, Greg Presley, B.J. Addison, and Wesley Hughes.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Leola Fulbright Hughes Edmonds.
