Judy and Glenn Walker wanted to find an avenue to share their love of all things lavender.

Twelve years ago, they opened The Lavender Cottage & Garden in Sautee Nacoochee; the rest is history.

“My husband and I have been fans of lavender for so many years,” Judy explained. “The Lavender Fest is so much fun. People come every year from all over.”

Judy said she and her husband enjoy the interaction and the sharing of their passion for all things lavender.

The Yonah Pickers will be the opening entertainment from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by Kip Dockery, jazz singer and musician, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Dr. Paul, Season 9 of The Voice, will offer easy rock and country music from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

There will be delicious lavender culinary tastings, and the opportunity to make a lavender wand to keep in your car or beside your bed to always smell fresh lavender.

There will also be chair massages for a small fee.

Bring your lawn chairs, bug spray, sunscreen, and hats to enjoy the music, food, and the scent of lavender.

The parking lot will be closed for the enjoyment of the music. There will be signage to direct parking.
