Habersham County fire investigators are working to determine what caused an unoccupied mobile home to burn to the ground Tuesday night.
Habersham Emergency Services Director Chad Black says firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a possible vehicle fire on Lasso Lane at 10:32 p.m. While units were enroute the person who called 911 said the fire had spread to the mobile home. When firefighters arrived it was fully involved.
Habersham Emergency Services Stations 13, 14, Med 21 and Battalion 1 responded to the scene. Clarkesville Fire provided automatic aid. Lee Arrendale State Prison firefighters were also dispatched to the scene.
It took firefighters about twenty minutes to knock down the fire. They remained on the scene afterwards extinguishing hot spots.
Black says the mobile home did not have any power running to it. It’s unclear at this time as to what may have caused the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured.
