Lanier Technical College’s Hall Campus is set to undergo a significant road reconstruction project aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing safety for students, staff and visitors.

College President Tim McDonald informed personnel earlier this week that the long-anticipated project has been finalized and will span for two years.

The centerpiece of the project is a new flyover bridge that will provide safer access to and from the campus via GA 365. The bridge is designed to eliminate the need for vehicles to make potential hazardous left-hand turns across oncoming traffic, addressing a key safety issue for the campus community.

Construction is expected to begin in the coming months. In preparation, the college will temporarily remove its entrance sign and a few light poles along Lanier Tech Drive to accommodate necessary utility work and roadway realignment. The entrance sign will be reinstalled once it no longer interferes with construction efforts.

Initial work, including the removal of the sign and light poles, is scheduled to begin within the next few days.
