Lane Savage, age 63, of Cornelia, Georgia, went to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Mr. Savage was born on March 26, 1961, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late Tex Savage and Margie Morris Savage Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, James W. Clark; brother, Scott Savage; and father-in-law, Don Patterson. Lane was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. He had a deep faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and he exemplified strength, steadfastness, and a devotion that never wavered. Lane was widely known for his exceptional skills in paint and bodywork, with a keen eye and masterful touch that set him apart in car restoration. In addition to car restoration, Lane enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Above all, Lane will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, as well as a proud father and “Papa” to his grandchildren, who were his greatest joy.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Karen Savage, of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Chris Ready, of Cumming; son, Matt Savage, of Cornelia; son, Austin Savage, of Cornelia; daughter, Katie Savage, of Cornelia; grandchildren, Luke Ready and Libby Ready; mother-in-law, Katherine Patterson, of Batesville; and sister, Pansy Savage.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
