(Gainesville) – Lakewood Baptist’s senior pastor, Dr. Tom Smiley, is selected to pray at the state capitol Monday at the Governor’s Day of Prayer.
Fourteen pastors from throughout Georgia are selected to pray beginning at 10 a.m. in the Capitol rotunda. Governor Brian Kemp and leaders of the General Assembly extended the invitations to the clergy.
“This is an honor and great opportunity for me to share the word of God and to lift up Georgians in our time of need,” Smiley said.
The service is not open to the public but will be live-streamed on the governor’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/GovKemp.
