The Lady Warriors took on the Baldwin Bravettes Saturday afternoon in the Sweet 16 round of GHSA State Playoff Action.
The Lady Warriors were on the defensive against Baldwin early in the first period, knocking down shots back to back but the larger size of the Bravettes would prove difficult and the quarter would end, 18-12, Baldwin.
White County took the lead in a huge play by Emma Lightsey halfway through the second period. A back-and-forth battle ensued, and the Warriors ended the quarter down by one point.
The Bravettes would come out of the halftime break fast with a 6-0 run but the Warriors would double down and tie the game. 3 straight turnovers would give the Lady Warriors a fighting chance ending the quarter down 4 points.
Warriors would fight and try to climb back but some questionable calls and back to back turnovers would lead to a season end for the Lady Warriors as the Bravettes would win 60-47.
