Habersham Central’s playoff run ended in Alpharetta Thursday evening, closing the 2016 season for the Lady Raiders.
Coach Lindsay Herrin’s group advanced to the state playoffs for the first time since 2012 after falling in the Region 8-AAAAAA championship match. The girls then swept past Richmond Hill in straight sets in the opening round of the state tournament on the home court.
Habersham closes the season and finishes off the career for seven Lady Raiders, including Lainey Gosnell, Natalie Thompson, Emily Jo Ariail, Gracie Charles, Chandler Bennett, Alley Parham and Kinley Maney.
