The Sweet 16 had 9 games on the slate Friday night and the Commerce girls, Lumpkin girls, Stephens girls, and Jefferson girls all punched a quarterfinals ticket with wins.
The Habersham Central Lady Raiders saw their dream season end with a road loss to Kell. The Raiders stayed within striking distance throughout the game. They trailed 12-8 after one, 28-16 at the half, and 40-23 at the end of the third. The Longhorns finally won it, 50-32.
Despite the disappointing loss, the Raiders (19-6) have plenty to be proud of, posting their best season in nine years.
