The proverbial light at the end of the tunnel is here for local soccer, with some teams having just a couple games left. BLITZ Sports recently unveiled its end of regular season Power Rankings. The Habersham Central Lady Raiders moved up one notch in the rankings, placing 7th among our area’s prep school teams.
The Lady Raiders once were 0-4 (0-5 if you count their scrimmage), but since, they have gone 6-5. All that’s left is a single non-region tune-up.
PLAYOFFS: Habersham is in!! The girls are in fourth, as Apalachee also finished 5-5 and sits above them. The rivals split their two-game series, but Apalachee won in aggregate 5-4.
