Cleveland, GA – Lady Lion golf has roared back in 2015-16 with a runner-up finish in the team’s first tournament of the year, the Georgia Mountains Invitational hosted by Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia at Mossy Creek Golf Course. Piedmont trimmed 10 strokes off its day one score as well, a key factor as the Lady Lions finished ten strokes ahead of the team behind them in the rankings, host Truett-McConnell.
Piedmont saw a freshman lead the way with JANA GUY posting an 82 in the second round trimming two strokes off her debut round the day before at the event. Guy’s performance earned her 4th place in the tourney field of 27 competitors and gave her All-Tournament honors in her first-ever event for the Green and Gold.
