The Lady Indians carded a total 2-day score of 351 to place 4th in the GHSA State Championships at Willow Lakes in Metter.
After sitting in 5th place after the first day with a 179, the girls moved up a position with a 172. Mallory Higgins came in 6th place individually with a 167 over the tournament, finishing 11-over par. Madeline Martin came in 15th with a 184. Raegan Duncan (197) came in 24th and Lily Turpin (268) placed 42nd.
The 4th-place finish as a team bests last year’s 5th-place, and is the best placing since 2021 and the Runner-Up finish.
TFS Indians
The Indians had their best finish in school history by coming in 8th at the GHSA State Championships, which concluded Tuesday in Statesboro.
TFS carded a team score of 746, 83-over par. Tate Turpin paced the Indians with a 180, good for 34th place. Will Greene was 40th with a 183. Rylee Smith (188; 45th), Ryder Cantrell (197; 52nd), Jack Thomson (206; 58th), and Hunter Bell (212; 61st) rounded out the scores.
The top-10 finish is the first in team history, though the Indians were 11th last season at state.
