Kevin Matson to oversee Braselton, Barrow hospitals

Former head of NGMC Habersham, Kevin Matson, will now oversee the hospitals in Braselton and Barrow County.

Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Braselton and NGMC Barrow are getting a new leader. Kevin Matson will begin serving as Northeast Georgia Health System’s vice president of Regional Hospitals, Southern Market, on Monday, Nov. 4.

Matson previously served in a leadership role at NGMC Braselton from 2017 to 2020. He recently led the successful openings of the NGMC Lumpkin campus and expanded services at NGMC Habersham.

“This is a homecoming of sorts for me,” Matson said. “I’m looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces inside the hospital and in the community, as well as building new relationships.”
