Keith Guy Simpson

Keith Guy Simpson, age 53 of Baldwin, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Keith was born on August 20, 1968, in Greensboro, Georgia to the late Enoch Guy Simpson and Virginia Atkinson Simpson Allen. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Simpson Griffith.

Keith was a 1986 graduate of Greene-Taliaferro Comprehensive High School in Greensboro. He was a veteran of The United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country. He was owner/operator of A and M Solutions serving the electrical and HVAC needs of many. He was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church and the Digging Deeper Sunday School class.

Keith loved his family and always went the extra mile to make sure their needs were met. He was a loving husband, daddy, and Papaw as well as a beloved son, brother, and great friend. He was a hard-working family man who loved spending time with his family, especially taking trips and eating out.

In addition to his mother, Keith is survived by his wife Cherry G Simpson; daughter and son-in-law Magen Simpson Young (Mike) of Madison; son and daughter-in-law Asa Simpson (Lakin) of Cornelia; daughters Mia Simpson of Dahlonega, Maizy Simpson of Dahlonega, and Marissa Simpson of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law Kevin Simpson (Angie) of Cornelia; Step-father J.T. Allen of Cornelia; Grandchildren Maddi, Brayden, and Ryder Young; and Baby Corbin Simpson coming January ’22; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Level Grove Baptist Church in Cornelia. Dr. Brian James and Rev. Terry Rice will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Whitfield Funeral Home South in Baldwin from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to cover final expenses. A go-fund-me has been set up for those wishing to donate online.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from the community as well as friends near and far.
