Kathrine Nicole Brooks-Watts, 37, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away on June 24, 2023.
She was born on February 15, 1986, in Athens, Georgia, to Marianne Arundale and Larry O’Neal Brooks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stacey Lamar Watts, and her grandmother, Nancy Kay Scoggins-Pickett. She is survived by her three children, Landon Lamar Watts (15), Kayli Marie Denise Baker (8), and Grayson Owen Watts (11 months); her biological parents; her father, Jeffrey Todd Boswell, as well as her stepfather, John Charles Arundale, Jr.; her siblings, Nancy Kayla Brooks Davis, Ashley Nicole Boswell-Hughes, Jackson Todd Boswell, Thomas John Arundale, and Matthew Anscil Arundale; her grandparents, O’Neil and Ann Brooks, Tom and Lynn Pickett; and her many friends and loved ones.
Nicole graduated from Madison County High School in 2004. She later received her cosmetology license from Athens Tech in 2006. She enjoyed crafting, being in the mountains, enjoying rivers, and hiking to waterfalls. She was always willing to help others and was a kind and generous person.
Our beautiful girl was stolen from us. We have prayed for her to be free from the chains of addiction that held her captive for so long, but we only thought the answer to our prayers would be with her here with us.
I want everyone to know that Nicole was so much more than the addiction she ultimately fell victim to. She was a beautiful, funny, sassy, and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend that we all loved so much.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to her children’s educational fund.
