On February 16, 1960, Katherine Ann was born in Habersham County to Raymond D. and Florelle Peck DeWitt. She arrived with the earliest spring flowers in shades of yellow, orange and pink. Her laughter was a tonic and she brought joy to a room just by her presence.
Katie is survived by her devoted husband, Alan Eyles, and their children Anna, Allie and Andy.
She will be missed by family, friends, co-workers, former students and teachers, and all those whom she befriended with a smile, kind word or clever retort. She departed peacefully held in the hearts and minds of many and with friends and family by her side on an equally beautiful spring day, April 13, 2018. A reminder of her joy and optimism is evident in the oranges, pinks and yellows of this day as they hover pleasingly on the horizon heralding the night.
Goodnight, sweet Katie, you made life so much better.
