The Gainesville Police Department used an electronic detection canine to uncover evidence in a child pornography investigation.

The department says officers served a search warrant at the Gainesville home of 66-year-old Danny Lamar White. K9 Max and his handler, Deputy Melinda Flood, from the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, were part of the search team.

During the search, police say Max located a hidden cell phone that resulted in 29 felony charges against White.

Police say White compiled visual sexual depictions of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct on his phone. They charged him with 29 felony counts of electronic exploitation of a minor.

White is being held in the Hall County Jail. Police say the case remains under investigation.
