Joseph Scott Cole, age 51, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, at his residence.
Scott was born in Atlanta on December 25, 1969, to the late William Charles & Linda Lovetta Parsons Cole. He was very active in the community serving as an ambassador for the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce from 1995-2001. Scott was also a member of the Gainesville Jaycees from 1999-2002 where he served as the director from 2000-2002. He was very involved with the Jaycees’ Gut Check program which works with boys to help them develop self-esteem, character & confidence. Scott was an avid fisherman and loved to play softball.
He formerly worked as a warehouse manager at McGarity’s Business Products and AAA Welding. He later worked at CVS and Wal-Mart as a Manager.
Survivors include his daughter, Madeline Grace Cole; brother, Jason Cole; sisters, Janet Buffington, Sandra Presley, Michelle Cole & Kristie Walters.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
