Johnny Wilber Higgins, age 83, of 611 Forney Avenue, Lincolnton, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton with Rev. Vernie Pettie officiating.
Mr. Higgins was born on February 13, 1929 and was the son of the late Ferd and Lula Martin Higgins. He was also preceded in death by two sons, David Higgins and Lynn Higgins and daughter Teresa Higgins. Mr. Higgins was retired from ABF Freight.
He is survived by his wife, Edna S. Higgins of the home; his four children, Chris Higgins of Lincolnton, Lauren Eagle (Matt) of Lincolnton, Sherry Spruill (Lavonda) of Florida and Peggy Witter (Jason) of Charlotte; one sister, Peggy York of Georgia; and numerous grandchildren who he loved and adored.
Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton is serving the Higgins family.
