John Shiohira, age 59, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
Mr. Shiohira was born on March 30, 1955 in Paris, Texas to Robert and Margaret Moye Shiohira. He received his B.A. degree from South Western Baptist Seminary. He was a member of The Home Church, and a former member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia and Baldwin Baptist Church. He was an English Teacher as a second language. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Shiohira.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years Nonglak Shiohira, of Baldwin, GA.; mother, Margaret Moye Shiohira, of Bentonville, AK.; sons, Jonathan Shiohira, of Las Vegas, NV., and Jedidiah Shiohira, of Baldwin, GA.; BROTHER, Bill Shiohira, of Bentonville, AK., one niece and one nephew.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Mark Thomas and Bill Lockwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015.
