Jody Fowler, age 73, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015.
Mr. Fowler was born November 10, 1942 in Toccoa, GA, to the late General Lee and Mary Lou Davis Fowler. He was a Machinist at Fieldale Farms with 25 years of service, and was a US Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Miriam Lynn Fowler; and brothers, Tommy Lee and Cecil Boyd Fowler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Frances Fowler of Cornelia; daughters, Angela Fowler Stinespring and Wanda Fowler Batson, both of Jacksonville, FL, daughters and sons-in-law, Chelsie Fowler and Kalen Echols of Alto, and Melissa and Daryl McClellon of Cornelia; son, Ronald James Fowler of Cornelia, sons and daughters-in-law, Scott Dwayne and Maureen Fowler of Tallahassee FL, and Jason and Tonya Lewis of Lexington, GA; sisters, Bessie Mae Jordan of Jonesboro, Faye Montcalm, Mamie Steele, both of Atlanta, and Jean Griffin of Toccoa; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Laura Rose officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2015.
