Jerry B. McEntire

Jerry B. McEntire, age 65, of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. He was born on November 13, 1959, in Demorest, Georgia.

Jerry was a machinist by trade and dedicated over 20 years of his career to Atlanta International Hydraulic Repair, where he ascended to the role of Vice President. His commitment to his work was a testament to his strong work ethic and determination. A proud graduate of Habersham Central High School in 1977, Jerry demonstrated exceptional talent not only in his professional endeavors but also as a talented athlete. He enjoyed life to the fullest, immersing himself in his passions, particularly golf and his beloved 1979 Corvette.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jerry was a loving Dad and doting G-Pa, whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His generous spirit radiated through every interaction, making him a beloved figure among family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and David McCormick and Anna and Cody Balis. His grandchildren, Charlotte McCormick, Michelle McCormick, Lonnie James Balis and Mason Ray Balis, will carry on the legacy of love and joy he instilled in them. He also leaves behind other family members, including many cousins and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Randolph and Ruth Underwood McEntire, and his brother, James Randolph McEntire. Their memories, along with Jerry’s spirit, will continue to be cherished by those he leaves behind.

Celebration of Life services are 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire, with Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Wednesday, at the funeral home prior to the service.

Together, we honor the life of Jerry B. McEntire, reflecting on the joy, laughter, and love he brought into the world. His legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
