JERALD B. FREEMAN, age 47 of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014.
Born in Hall County on June 16, 1967, he was a son of J. B. Freeman and Joyce Christopher Freeman both of Cornelia. Mr. Freeman was the owner and operator of About Time Tree Service and was also a professional skydiving instructor.
Jerald was an energetic person who believed in living life to the fullest. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, crocheting, traveling, the outdoors, singing with his daughter and the church choir, and sky diving. Mr. Freeman served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother and father, Jerald is survived by his wife, Nicole Freeman of Cornelia; daughter, Jaden Beth Freeman of Cornelia; brother and sister-in-law, Joel & Cindy Freeman of Demorest; also surviving are many cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of other family members and friends.
A celebration of Jerald’s life will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Free, Pastor Greg Purcell, Rev. John Harris and Pastor Anthony Shore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, the Habersham County American Legion Post #84, the Rabun County Disabled American Veterans Chapter #15, and the Georgia National Guard.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home.
