Jason Keith York, age 37, of Demorest, Georgia, went home on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, along with his paternal grandfather, Bobby York, Sr. following an automobile accident.
Mr. York was born on September 1, 1985, in Habersham County, Georgia. In addition to his paternal grandfather, he was preceded in death by his father, Bobby York, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Brewer; maternal grandmother, Rosalee Gabrels Crump; maternal grandfather, Tommy Crump.
Jason will be remembered as a sweet, special, and caring person who never met a stranger. He enjoyed going to wrestling matches, going to play BINGO with his grandfather, and listening to his brother sing in his band.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Debbie Crump and Joerg vom Dorp, of Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Amber York, of Demorest; brother, Bradley Tyler York, of Toccoa; step-mother, Kay Dean York, of Clarkesville; step-sisters, Cieara Murdock, of Toccoa; Michaela Mize, of Clarkesville; Julie Joy, of Braselton; and step-brother, Mark Smith, of Clarkesville.
A Joint Memorial Service honoring Jason Keith York and Bobby York, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Whitfield Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the funeral home.
