James P. Stanley

James P. Stanley, age 70, of Alto, Georgia was reunited with his family on Sunday, July 12, 2020.

Mr. Stanley was born January 23, 1950, in Habersham County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Stanley; mother, Lorena Davidson Alexander; son, Ron Dillon; and mother of his daughter, Jamey, Billie Ann Cape. James loved to work with his hands; he was very skilled and crafty with woodworking, his talent was endless. He used his skills in his business as Owner of Dillon’s Taxidermy. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He had a huge heart and a great sense of humor; he was loved by everyone who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred Stanley, of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Steven Patty, of Maryville, TN; daughter, Jamey Alston, of Myrtle Beach, SC; step-son, Timothy Smallwood, of Lula; grandchildren, Anslee and Atticus Patty; and Alexus Alston; siblings, Lionell and Diane Stanley, Mildred “Mimi” and David Miller, and Cathryn Lasseter; nieces and nephews, Chad Stanley, Christal Smith, Stacey Miller, Brandon Miller, Zach Miller, Greg Lasseter, Shane Lasseter, Michelle Lasseter; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and the mother of his children, Nikki and Ron, Debbie Dillon.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Jerry Gaddis and Rev. Charles Grant officiating. Interment will follow in the Wade Family Graveyard.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the funeral home prior to the service.
