James Harold “Mullet” Rudeseal, Sr., age 85 of the Fairview Community, Demorest, Georgia took his heavenly flight home at his residence on Friday morning, June 11, 2021, following an extended illness.
Born in Toccoa, Georgia, on June 05, 1936, he was a son of the late James Purnell & Hattie Smith Rudeseal. James served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 until 1958. He retired as a heavy equipment operator with Hansen Aggregates with over 35 years of dedicated service. James was a faithful member of the Oakwood First Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Rudeseal.
Survivors include his loving wife, Josephine Gray Rudeseal of the Fairview Community, Demorest, GA; children, Gloria & Lynn Kidd of Gainesville, GA; James H. Rudeseal, Jr. of Dahlonega, GA; Bobby & Lynn Rudeseal of Southhaven, MS; Carolyn & Joe Jones of Murrayville, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Robert Howard & Ola Mae Rudeseal of Toccoa, GA; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Homegoing services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Hillside Memorial Chapel, with Rev. A.B. Stewart, Michael King, & Joe Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Grant Reeves Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
