Jamboree spotlights veterans services, raises money to support local veterans groups

Veterans are gathering in Cornelia today for the Northeast Georgia Veterans Jamboree. The event, now in its third year, is being hosted by several local veterans groups including the Grant-Reeves VFW Post 7720, American Legion, VFW Auxiliary, and Disabled Veterans of America.

It’s being held from 9am-3pm on Saturday, September 14, at the Cornelia Community House located at 601 Wyly Street in Cornelia.

In addition to providing valuable information to veterans about services that are available to them, the jamboree also serves as a fundraiser for area veterans causes.

The entire community is invited to attend and enjoy a day of live entertainment, raffles, car show, cake walk, free games, and food.
