(Cleveland)- The White County Warriors had to battle penalty calls and a lightning delay Friday night as they hosted the Jackson County Panthers in the first home game of the season. The only thing White County was able to win was the coin toss before the game.
About 20 minutes into the game officials call a lightening delay, which lasted for 30 minutes. Jackson County’s Malik Tuck scored the first touchdown of the game in the second quarter, the extra point that followed put Jackson up 7-0.
A field goal a short time later pushed the Panthers to 10 to nothing. Late in the 3rd Jackson County made the final score of the game rolling to a 17 to nothing win over the White County Warriors.
Ky Crowe was picked as the Captain D’s offensive player and Bradley Hurst selected by the Warrior broadcast team as the Defensive Player of the game.
