A missing White County man’s abandoned truck was found in Hart County. Now, authorities are asking for the public’s help to find him.
According to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas Cordell Barnes was driving a gold Ford F-150 crew cab truck. The vehicle was located near I-85 in Hart County “with no one in or around the truck.”
Sheriff’s investigators posted a lookout to social media. They describe Barnes as a white male, approximately five feet eight inches tall, weighing 160 pounds.
Barnes was last seen on July 19 at his home in White County wearing jeans and a t-shirt. The description states he “normally always wears a camo baseball cap.”
Anyone with information on Barnes’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Hart County Sheriff’s Office at 706-376-3114.
