The Tallulah Falls School Indians earned a slim 53-50 win over White County in a Tuesday road matchup. A trio of Indians scored in double figures.
Neyo Bain dropped in a team-best 14 points, while Hayden Bootle (12) and Zakhar Valasiuk (11) scored in double-digits. TFS got a complete team effort with great defense.
TFS is now 2-0 on the season.
The Lady Indians’ varsity and JV took to the road Tuesday at White County, as both came away with losses.
The varsity squad dropped a 60-36 decision. White County took control early with a 27-3 first quarter in which Breelyn Wood’s 3-pointer was the only scoring for TFS. The Lady Indians trailed 37-6 at the break before regrouping and outscoring White County 30-23 in the second half.
Haygen James led TFS with nine points, while Adrijana Albijanic had eight points and 11 rebounds. Allie Phasavang also had eight points, and Wood finished with seven. Asea Molodynska and Millie Holcomb contributed three and one point, respectively.
The Lady Indians are now 1-1 on the season.
The JV girls lost 52-24. White County led 13-0 after one, but TFS won the second quarter 13-12, trailing 25-13 going into the break. White County pulled away in the second half.
Lia Sanjur had 11 points, LB Kafsky had four, and Molodynska had three. Gracey Eller, Carla Guil, and Marian Nino each had two points.
The JV girls move to 1-1 on the season.
