Habersham’s Peyton Irvin is this week’s BLITZ Pick Player of the Week. It’s his second BLITZ POW Award this season. Irvin was selected for the honor on the heels of a tremendous 3-game stretch in which he hit a homer, drove in 5 runs, and hit .333.
Habersham (17-5; 5-2) is securing a playoff spot for the first time since 2006. Irvin has been very good this year. He also went 2-0 with a microscopic 0.70 ERA over the same 3-game stretch, which included a complete game win. He recorded 12 strikeouts in the process.
