Indians split twin billing at Commerce to win season series

The Indians needed just one win when playing two on Saturday at Commerce. They got it by winning the rubber match, which gives TFS the 2-1 season series win, which is crucial in the region standings and, ultimately, playoff seeding.

Commerce opened the day with a 6-4 win over TFS. Rohajae Pinder took the loss on the mound for the Indians. Andrew Skvarka had 5 innings of scoreless relief while giving up 3 hits and striking out 3. Frankey Moree, Danny Grant, Caden Walker, and Pinder all had 2 hits apiece in the game one loss.

In the series-clinching 8-4 win, Tallulah Falls got a spectacular overall performance from Chase Pollock. He pitched 4.1 innings and struck out 2 while earning the win, giving up 4 earned runs and 6 hits with 2 walks. He also went 4-for-4 at the plate with 2 RBI.

Walker and Pinder both had homeruns for TFS, while Walker added a double and went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Pinder had a 2-for-3 game with 3 RBI and a run. Moree, Grant, Zaiden Cox, and BJ Carver also had hits in the win. Cole Bonitatibus earned the save by going the final 2.2 innings and striking out 2 while allowing no baserunners.

The Indians are now 6-7 overall and 3-3 in region play.
