BOYS
The Indians blanked the North Hall Trojans 10-0 on Friday night at home to set the tone for the 2023 season.
Several players got in on the scoring, as junior Austin Ball tallied a hat trick with four goals, and added an assist. Luis Varona Pastor added two goals. Both Landon Hall and Clay Kafsky had a goal and an assist.
Simeon Conjagic recorded a goal, as did Jake Hall (and two assists), and Kelton Reynolds had an assist as well. Reynolds earned the shutout between the posts, as the defense played very well to grab a clean sheet win.
“Boys played great,” says coach Jeremy Stille. “They worked really hard to put the game plan in action. Everything we did to prep for the game, we executed on the field. Our team effort is the real standout tonight.”
To Stille’s point, the Indians allowed just one shot on target the entire match, and that came on a restart from 55 yards out after a TFS goal.
“All around, great effort, and we now look forward to kicking off region play at home,” adds Stille.
That next match comes Tuesday against Athens Christian, as TFS is now 1-0 on the season.

GIRLS
The Lady Indians opened the 2023 season with a clean sheet victory, taking a 2-0 win over visiting North Hall on Friday.
Both goals were scored by Jenna Chesser, one in each half. Addie Higbie assisted the first goal to give TFS the early lead. That held til the break. Chesser’s second goal came on a breakaway in the second half.
Kyndal Anderson preserved the shutout with 10 saves.
“Goals and shutouts didn’t happen without the help of the entire team,” says coach Travis Mullis. “The girls don’t care who gets the credit just so long as they are able to play together. Everyone played and contributed significantly. One Team, One Dream!”
