Indians defeat Monsignor Donovan; JV teams earn lopsided wins too

The Indians pulled off a revenge win on Saturday against Monsignor Donovan in a 24-point victory at home. TFS won 83-59 in the non-region win.

Anfernee Hanna led with 26 points, while Zakhar Valasiuk had 13 and Vlad Popescu 12.

TFS is now 16-6 overall and play again Tuesday at home for senior night against Athens Christian.

JV

The JV basketball teams showed out Saturday with a pair of home wins against Monsignor Donovan.

The Indians picked up a 70-39 win, putting up a season-best in points. Hayden Bootle scored a season-high 25 points, Teryk Tilley 15, Neyo Bain 11, Jay Taylor 8, Andrija Vujacic 4, and 2 each for Bryson Purdue, Marquis Rolle, and De’veon Allen.

Elijah Barker added his first point for the season as nine different players chipped in the scoring.

The boys are now 15-1 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Lady Indians secured their second win of the campaign with a 44-2 lopsided victory.

TFS held Monsignor Donovan scoreless in the first half and led 32-0 at the break.

Lola Pilicka had a team-best 18 points, and was followed by Lana Malbaski’s 11. Adrijana Albijanic had 7, Tiana Bojovic had 4, and both Emily Cai and Ashlyn Cleveland had 2.

The JV girls move to 2-5 overall.
