Tallulah Falls completed its perfect region slate with a 7-2 win over Rabun County on Friday evening. It marked a final time-up for #2 TFS.
After falling behind 1-0 early, the Indians fought back and were knotted at 1-1 at the half, with the first goal coming with nine minutes left from Jake Wehrstein.
“We came out with much more intensity and patience in the second half,” says coach Jeremy Stille. “We combined more with simple passes that gave us more shooting opportunities.”
The boys scored five more in the second half, completing the 7-2 win. Wehrstein scored the final tally, while Austin Ball, Jackson Cording, Landon Hall, Kale Borchers, and Bushy Lynes all found the back of the net, with Clay Kafsky and Borchers recording assists. Kelton Reynolds notched 15 saves in the contest.
The Region Champions are set to host the first round of the state playoffs next week. TFS moves to 14-1 on the season and finished 10-0 in region play.
