If you’re traveling through Northeast Georgia’s Franklin County on I-85 Monday, expect traffic slowdowns. Construction crews will be installing new beams on the span of the I-85 Northbound bridge between exits 160 and 164. Slow-moving wide-load vehicles will be entering and exiting the highway. Georgia Department of Transportation officials says this will impact traffic speed.
There will be no lane closures.
The crews will be working Monday, July 18, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dates may change due to weather. Motorists are cautioned to reduce speed while traveling through work zones, stay alert, and watch for workers.
