Human remains found in Banks County may be those of a man who disappeared in mid-June.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office says the remains were discovered Friday afternoon, August 9, in a wooded area near Harden Bridge Road northeast of Commerce. The remains were found during a search for Charles “Eddie” Ramsey, whose family reported him missing.
The county coroner transported the remains to the state medical examiner’s office for official identification.
Sheriff’s office spokesperson Olivia Justus says Ramsey was last seen walking toward his home on Harden Bridge Road in June. She says, “Although there is no suspicion of foul play, the circumstances and manner of death are still under investigation.”
