The second of several scheduled public hearings about the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was held Monday in Washington D.C. The hearing focused on former President Donald Trump’s efforts to convince the American public he won the 2020 presidential election, despite evidence to the contrary.
Monday’s hearing, which was slated to begin at 10 a.m., started late after a key witness dropped out. Former Donald Trump campaign manager William Stepien bowed out of the live hearing after his wife went into labor, according to his lawyer.
The hearing was broadcast live on all major television and cable news networks and livestreamed by the Jan. 6 House Select Committee. Recordings of the livestream may be viewed on the committee’s YouTube channel by clicking here.
