Hotel ‘blankets’ newborns and seniors with kindness

Babies born at Habersham Medical Center (HMC) around Valentine’s Day received a very special gift of love from the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Cornelia. Kendra McCoy, Director of Sales, handmade 20 no-sew blankets to donate to the Family Birth Center newborns. Joining McCoy for the presentation of blankets were Michael McLuckie, General Manager of the Hampton Inn, and HMC’s Brittney Chamblee, RN and Linde Mitchell, RN.

Babies born at Habersham Medical Center (HMC) around Valentine’s Day received a very special gift of love from the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Cornelia.

The hotel’s Director of Sales, Kendra McCoy, handmade 20 no-sew blankets to donate to the Family Birth Center newborns.

Joining McCoy for the presentation of blankets (pictured to the left) were Hampton Inn General Manager Michael McLuckie and HMC registered nurses Brittney Chamblee and Linde Mitchell.

Hampton Inn’s Kendra McCoy and Michael McLuckie present blankets to Habersham Home Activity Directors Courtney Watkins and Tiffanie Blackwell.

The hotel also donated 30 blankets to residents of the hospital’s long-term care and rehab facility, Habersham Home.
