Homer man charged in wreck that injured four

Ricky Goodman of Homer was driving this Toyota Celica when he rammed into the back of a pick-up.

A Homer man has been charged in connection with a two-vehicle wreck that injured four people on Monday. Kelly Murray with the Georgia State Patrol says 23-year old Ricky Goodman was cited for following too closely after he rear-ended a pick-up on Hwy. 197 South in Mt. Airy.

The accident happened Feb. 9 during the school morning rush hour.

Authorities say both vehicles were traveling north on 197 when the Dodge Ram pick-up truck stopped to turn onto Ansley Road. Goodman’s Toyota Celica slammed into the back of the truck.

Goodman was one of four people injured in the wreck. The driver of the pick-up, 34-year old Amanda Skelton of Mt. Airy, was also injured along with her two elementary school-aged children. All four were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
