Habersham Community Theater (HCT) and Clarkesville Main Street are giving some extra Christmas cheer to the community with a special showing of Home Alone on the big screen at Movies on Main on Friday, November 24th at 7PM.
This classic holiday comedy stars Macaulay Culkin as an 8-year old who is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation and must protect his home from a pair of bumbling burglars. The movie is rated PG.
“We chose the after-Thanksgiving date to allow families (and weary Black Friday shoppers) the opportunity to come downtown to enjoy a fun family outing together,” explains Clarkesville Main Street Manager Mary Beth Horton. “The lobby and stage will be fully decorated and we will be offering fun movie concessions to add to the experience.”
Horton added that movie goers can participate in the Ugly Christmas Sweater contest happening prior to the film. “This is more than just a movie- it’s an event in our historic downtown theater!”
Home Alone concludes Clarkesville Main Street and HCT’s 2017 Movies on Main series. The 2018 series will be announced next month.
Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets early as seating is limited to the first 100 patrons.
Tickets are $8 and can be purchased online at habershamtheater.org or by calling 706-839-1315. A link to ticket sales can also be found on clarkesvillega.com.
