Holcomb wins handily in White County; Cleveland voters approve alcohol referendum

Nearly 61% of White County’s 20,968 active registered voters cast ballots in the November 8 General Election. There was only one local contested race on the ballot.

Republican Lyn Holcomb defeated Democratic challenger Mike Devincentis with 89% of the vote in the district 2 commission race. Holcomb claimed 2,685 votes to Devincentis’ 327 votes.

Three other unopposed local races were on the ballot. Edwin Nix, John Solmon, and Linda Erbele were elected to their respective seats. See below:

John Solmon (R)  11,637   100%

White County Board of Education District 4

Linda Erbele (R) 11,723   100%

And in the city of Cleveland, voters overwhelmingly approved an alcohol referendum with 71% of the vote.
