If your internet’s out and you can’t read this without using cell service, it may be because you live in White County’s Leaf community. There’s an internet outage in the area through mid-afternoon.
Habersham EMC says internet service in the Leaf area will be down through mid-afternoon Sunday, September 3. Crews are working to repair a large internet cable that’s been damaged.
“Crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to try and minimize the time for this repair,” HEMC posted to social media post. “We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.”
Service is expected to be restored around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
