The Habersham Central Stage Raiders will have a home showing of their One Act play Pagliacci (“Clowns”) this Friday, Oct. 21st at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium in Mt. Airy.
The story, based on the Italian opera of the same name, is set in 1939 Italy. It tells the tale of a troupe of clowns who travel from town to town, their ancient art persisting in the face of war. The audience soon discovers that art and reality are not that far apart as behind the scenes jealousies bleed over onto the stage, quite literally.
Said to have been based on a true story, the opera was adapted by HCHS drama teacher and Stage Raider director Jeremy Bishop.
General Admission is $5. Stage Raider season passes will also be on sale at the door for just $25! Pass includes membership in the Stage Raiders Booster Club and admission into the following:
- Oct 21 – viewing of “Pagliacci”
