Eleven members of the HCHS Class of 2021 were awarded scholarships totaling $17,000 by the Habersham Rotary Club. Students were recognized at last week’s Rotary meeting.

“We deeply appreciate the many ways Rotary Club members support our students. Over the past 36 years, Rotary has awarded $339,000 in scholarship funds to local students. What a tremendous investment in the lives of deserving young people! We are confident these scholarship recipients will go on to become leaders in their community, and we hope they return home to Habersham County,” said Martha Cantrell, Gifted Program and College Program Coordinator for Habersham County Schools.

These seniors and hundreds more will graduate from Habersham Central in a traditional ceremony next month. Graduation is scheduled for 8 p.m. on May 21 at Raider Stadium in Mt. Airy.
