Hazel Mae Evans Holbrook

Mrs. Hazel Mae Evans Holbrook, age 84, of Cleveland, Georgia formerly of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.

Mrs. Holbrook was born on April 8, 1935, to the late Grady and Sallie Mae Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Harold Eugene Holbrook. Mrs. Holbrook was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was retired from Ethicon with nearly 27 years of loyal and dedicated service. Mrs. Hazel was known mainly as “Granny” to her grandchildren and she was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her five children, Dinah and Ricky Willis, of St. Augustine, FL; Donna and Harold LaCount, of Griffin, GA; Diann and Randy Willis, of St. Augustine, FL; Danita and Richard Davenport, of Cleveland, GA; David Holbrook, of Cleveland, GA, fourteen grandchildren, Lynn and Timm Belcher, of St. Johns, FL; Ricky and Toni Willis, of Elkton, FL; Anna and Ross Beasley, of Griffin, GA; Philip and Katie LaCount,of Griffin, GA; Jennifer and Anthony Valentino, of N. Fond du lac, WI; Elizabeth and Kyle Neidinger, of Milwaukee, WI; Randy and Chelsey Willis II, of Fond du lac, WI; Adriana and Zach Taylor, of Hiawassee, GA; Brittany King, Douglas and Kayla Davenport, all of Cleveland, GA; Scott Gorman, of Tuscon, AZ; Heather Holbrook and James Garity, of Cleveland; MaKayla Holbrook and Tristan McTeer, of Haines City, FL and Jared Holbrook, of Cleveland, GA; Nineteen great grandchildren: Brittany Boynton, of Orlando, FL and Emily Boynton, of St. Johns, FL; Hudson and Hadley Willis, of Fond du lac, WI; Emma Beasley, of Griffin, GA; Tailor Gokey, of Greenbay, WI. Ethan Willis, of St. Augustine, FL; Jadyn Hobbs and Rocco Valentino, both of N. Fond du lac, WI; Kevin and Kalyn Willis, of Elkton, FL; Dixie and Ryder LaCount, Griffin, GA; Kate and Logan Haynes, of Cleveland, GA; Owen and Lucas Davenport, of Cleveland, GA; Levi and Brooklyn, of Hiawassee, GA.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel
