HARTWELL, Ga. — A Hart County deputy’s early morning traffic stop turned into a pursuit through city streets on Wednesday, September 17.

Around 3:05 a.m., a deputy attempted to stop a Ford Expedition traveling on Old 29 Highway with no license plate. Officials said the driver, later identified as 26-year-old Jonathan Alexander Tribble of Hartwell, refused to pull over.

The pursuit wound through several Hartwell streets before Tribble finally came to a stop on Rome Street, where deputies arrested him without further incident.

Tribble faces multiple charges, including felony fleeing and attempting to elude, driving while license suspended, operating a vehicle without registration, possession of ecstasy, and criminal attempt to possess marijuana.

Deputies transported Tribble to the Hart County Jail following his arrest.
