Hart County launches 2025 Summer Meal Program to serve local youth

The Hart County Charter System announced the schedule for its 2025 Summer Meal Program, aimed at providing nutritious meals to children throughout the summer break. The program will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during two timeframes: June 2–12 and July 7–16, with additional on-site meal service offered from June 16–27.

To reach as many children as possible, the program includes a mobile meal delivery service that will operate on scheduled dates, bringing meals to multiple community locations. All meals are free of charge for children ages 18 and under.

Mobile Meal Delivery Dates:

June: 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 12

July: 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 16

Sardis Baptist Church – 10:30–10:40 AM (4359 Anderson Hwy)

Rome Street Apartments – 10:45–11:00 AM (67 Rome Street)

Hart County High School Parking Lot – 11:05–11:15 AM (59 Fifth Street)

Sanders Circle – 11:20–11:30 AM (641 Mt. Olivet Rd.)

HYDRA – OLD REC – 11:35–11:45 AM (200 Clay Street)

Crossroads Baptist Church – 11:45–12:00 PM (3636 Lavonia Hwy)

Leard Street (Ware) – 12:10–12:20 PM (70 Ware Street)

Bio Church Fire Department – 12:30–12:40 PM (3227 Bio Church Rd)

Skelton Homes – 12:50–1:00 PM (134 Skelton Homes Circle)

On-Site Meal Service

From June 16 to June 27, meals will also be served on-site at Hartwell Elementary and Hart County Middle School:

Breakfast: 7:45–8:15 AM

Lunch: 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

“We are committed to supporting the health and well-being of our students year-round,” said Courtney Hart, Director of School Nutrition. “Our summer meal program helps bridge the nutrition gap when school is not in session.”
