HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office arrested a woman on September 19 in connection with a residential fire on Saddlehorse Drive that investigators say was intentionally set.
Jamie Renee Millsap faces charges of first-degree arson, fraudulent insurance claims, and reckless conduct. Officials say the arrest followed a detailed investigation that determined the blaze was incendiary, or intentionally set. Millsap owned the home, according to Hall County fire officials.
The investigation received key support from K-9 Apollo with the Fire Marshal’s Office, along with assistance from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
The case stems from a fire that broke out around 4 a.m. on August 29 in the 6200 block of Saddlehorse Drive. When fire crews arrived, they found a single-story home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters launched a defensive attack using aerial operations, but the residence was ultimately declared a total loss.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and primary searches confirmed the house was empty.
Authorities said the investigation is now complete, with Millsap charged in connection to the fire.
