The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed two new deputies to the organization. They join the ranks after completing 11 weeks of tough training at the UNG Public Safety Academy.
Deputy Charles Brantley III and Deputy Mitchell Shull will also complete an additional six weeks of training with Hall County Sheriff’s Office supervisors. Afterward, they will join as Hall County Sheriff’s newest patrol deputies.
Both of their fathers have worked for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office for many years. At the swearing-in ceremony, Deputy Charles Brantley, Jr. pinned the HCSO badge on his son Deputy Charles Brantley III. Investigator Jeff Shull pinned the HCSO badge on his son Deputy Mitchell Shull.
Deputy Brantley was awarded a lifesaving medal for heroic actions on the job as a jailer last year. He has worked as a jailer since August 2021. Deputy Shull served in the U.S. Army for four years, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and began working for the HCSO as a jailer in October of 2023.
